Job Specification: Warehouse & Logistics Manager (Western Cape)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Warehouse & Logistics Manager to join our team in the Western Cape. This role will report directly to the Operations Manager and will oversee all aspects of warehouse and logistics operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Management

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatching of goods.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and implementation of effective tracking systems.
• Maintain optimal organization of the warehouse for efficiency and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Implement and enforce warehouse policies and procedures.

Logistics Coordination

• Plan and manage logistics operations, including routing, scheduling, and tracking deliveries.
• Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and customers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
• Monitor and optimize transportation costs while ensuring service quality.

Team Leadership

• Manage and lead warehouse staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment while promoting adherence to company values.
• Ensure staff compliance with safety and operational standards.

Operational Efficiency

• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Identify and implement process improvements in warehouse and logistics operations.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager to align warehouse and logistics goals with overall business objectives.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Grade 12 (Matric) with a diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in warehouse and logistics management, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Skills:
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and logistics software.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
• Other: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
